San Francisco artist Danyol was born in 1970 in Orange County, California just a stone’s throw away from Disneyland. Growing up he nourished himself on a steady diet of pop art, cubism, punk rock and sarcasm. While using equal parts nostalgia and current events together, danyol’s pop-influenced mixed media art explores the liminal spaces between surface and emotion, gender and sexuality, and responsibility vs. reality, along with other inconsistencies in our social fabric. His art work can be seen on his website and Facebook (links below). You may also catch him on stage with his two bands, Muñecas and Adonisarus.
